While India's Independence Day is often celebrated with kites, the US celebrated with fireworks. How does each methods reflect its culture?


India's Killing Fireworks Factories

The implication that India does not use fireworks is false. They use them in their Festival of Lights. On top of that, a lot of these fireworks are made in sweat shops, by children.

I agree with Tabitha. This question feels more like an attempt to provoke people into slamming the US by making it seem that we Americans are more violent than the people of India. However, if you want to start a fight, maybe you'd better double check your facts.

I like the chick who claimed that the Star Spangled Banner was referring to fireworks in the line "bombs bursing in air" and then proceeded to misquote the song. I had to stop reading the other answers I would cry.

Thanks for the comment! Yeah, this was a sad prompt all together. Granted there's a lot to criticize about the US, but this just set us up to be knocked.
