Writer's Block: That's the Worst

What's the worst thing that could happen to you today? Bonus question: How would that thing potentially benefit you?

Well, the worst thing that could happen to me happened in October when I lost my job. Not getting a new job is but a pale imitation of that demoralizing blow.

I suppose if I found a job that I liked as much as/ even more than the last job, then I'd be benefitted. However, right now, I'm finding it very hard to give a damn about finding a job, because I find it very hard to believe that it will be anything other than utter crap.

As you can tell, I'm in a black mood and am shamelessly fishing for some sympathy. :-(

You may have some sympathy from me! I just spent an hour trying to work on my resume, because my current job is slowly killing my spirit, and I desperately need to move on. Very hard, this looking-for-work thing; and I imagine it's ever so much harder when you didn't make the choice to leave your previous job.

Thank you!

Good luck with the resume. I know that there are many job sites that have resume advice. Monster.com and CareerBuilder are the ones I've mostly been using.

And those sites are also discreet. You can make sure that your current employer doesn't happen across your resume while you're job hunting.

Ouch, the job hunt. I definitely know how difficult that can be! Although I'm only at my first job, it was a nightmare to find as I had an American diploma and was looking in Europe.

I wish you all the best with your hunt. And just to give you hope: your new job can be more than worth the search and wait. It happened to me. Just try to be optimistic (difficult I know).

Thanks for the kind words! I'm trying to remain optimistic!
