Writer's Block: For the Day Off...

If you've got Monday off, how are you spending it, and with whom?

I spent a minute of it in silence, remembering the brave men and women who have died in the service of our country.

I spent the afternoon at the movie "Iron Man", which had some scenes that showed how horrible war really is.

It was an excellent movie, good acting, good effects and really caught the spirit of the comic book. Very many humorous scenes.

There's also an Easter Egg after the main credits. My sister and I stuck through the credits in case there was one. Sure enough, Tony Stark goes home and meets (dun dun DUN!) Nick Fury!

"We'd like to talk to you about the Avengers Initiative..."

Bwa-ha-ha!

My sister and I have been wondering who they're going to have in the Avengers. Capt. America for sure. My sister wants Thor. I expect there will be a few females. (I'm guessing two.)

Possibilities:
Wasp - THE quintessential female Avenger, IMHO. She was in the Avengers longer than any other superheroine.

Black Widow - Beautiful, Deadly, Politically Interesting: Natasha Romanov.

Tigra - Oo AH Oo AH Cool, Cool Kitty!

Scarlet Witch - Interesting effects, interesting back story. Bringing her in also brings in her super speedy twin brother, Quicksilver.
